  • California climate disclosure laws: Expert witness testimony

    Tom Lyon has been retained as an expert in the California case related to SB 253, also known as the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act, and SB 261, The Climate-Related Financial Risk Act. As a key expert on corporate sustainability and greenwashing, Tom argues that accurate climate disclosure is important in order to avoid market failures that are harmful to the public interest.   • KPMG: Guidance on sustainability reporting

    Wren Montgomery was invited to join KPMG Canada as part of a key webinar informing business leaders of Q2 2025 sustainability reporting updates. A discussion on greenwashing was key to the quarterly update.

  • Apple University: Greenwashing education

    Wren Montgomery and Tom Lyon shared insights on the topic of “Greenwash in Moral Markets: How Challengers Contest Incumbent Standards.” The presentation was made to Apple employees at their campus in Cupertino, CA.

  • CPA Canada: Preventing greenwashing

    The Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada hosted an ESG Symposium, inviting Wren Montgomery to share on a panel entitled “The buck stops here: Accountability and preventing greenwashing.”

  • Fashion Takes Action: Regulation and Consumer Trust

    Wren Montgomery spoke to ‘Regulating Green Claims’ at Fashion Takes Action’s WEAR conference. Tom Lyon spoke on a webinar for the group entitled ‘Greenwashing & Consumer Trust: What Industry and Government Need to Know.’
